Mod requests - Zeus Event

With the zeus currently with the non-standard mods, I would like to make some suggested additions to the optional mods lists.

  1. Better inventory
    Changes the player’s inventory layout to be more accessible.

  2. Adaptive Cruse Control
    Allows a driver of a vehicle to follow at a set distance/ speed behind the vehicle ahead. Great with convoys.

  3. Enhanced Map Ace Version
    Makes the map much easier to read.

  4. UAV keybinds
    Has fixes for UAVs breaking and several small quality of life improvements.

  5. Walkable Moving Objects
    Allows players to stand or walk on objects/ vehicles in motion. Great for boats, vaulting, general gameplay.

  6. BackpackOnChest
    Allows backpacks to be ‘stowed’ allowing a second backpack/parachute, only allowing for slow walking.

  7. ACE Interaction Menu Expansion
    Adds additional ace menu options. QOL improvement.

  8. No 40mm Smoke Bounce
    Makes 40mm smoke grenades embed themselves into the ground instead of bouncing into the stratosphere.

  9. Head Range Plus - TrackIR Mod
    Increases the movement range of trackIR in vehicles.

  10. ACE 3 Extension (Animations and Actions)
    Adds a bunch of fun animations in the ace interaction menu.

  11. TFAR Animations
    Animates the usage of radios, including using the long range’s telephone.

There is one mod that has already been talked about adding but I will put it here as well.


12. DUI - Squad Radar
Adds a mini map of players and vehicles in the vicinity. Includes names and colours of squad members, sorting, accurate unit icons, buddy system and more. Must be loaded server side for full functionality. (not a required mod).

Additionally there is one mod I would like to see added to the list for Zeuses. This also needs to be loaded server side for the majority of its functions to work.
LAMBS_Danger.fsm

  • AI will move inside buildings
  • Perform suppressive fire (Vehicles will dismantle buildings)
  • Panic, with special effects
  • React, even when exact enemy position is unknown
  • React by hiding in the presence of powerful vehicles when without equipment to deal with it
  • Check dead bodies (Rearms if possible)
  • Tanks will react by rotating towards threats
  • Improved civilian reactions, hiding in buildings and checking dead bodies
  • Dynamic Artillery system
  • Custom waypoints for specific AI behaviour

Personally i think a few of these should even be required seeing how they improve gameplay with relatively non-existent impact on total size of the mod list ~ o7

Also, is the no 40mm smoke bounce fixed? It used to be client side and therefore project the smoke grenade in a different position to the server.


VCOM AI is the one that always springs to mind for me, but that’s part of the VCOM vs LAMB debate, both similar mods. Would love to see either one added, as they change AI behaviour and allow zeuses to have more options instead of simply throwing more troops at the players to make it more intense/difficult.
